This Privacy Policy explains how K&S Music Inc., doing business as Tunepike (“Tunepike,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit tunepikemusic.com, create an account, rent an instrument, sign up for our emails, or otherwise interact with us (collectively, the “Services”). By using our Services, you agree to this Policy.

- Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: information you give us, information we collect automatically, and information from third parties.
Information you give us
When you rent an instrument, create an account, or contact us, you may provide:
- Contact details — your name, mailing address, email address, and phone number, and, for student rentals, the student’s name and school.
- Account and rental details — your login credentials, the instrument you select, your rental history, and your communications with us.
- Payment information — the card you place on file for autopay and billing. Card numbers are processed by our third-party payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
- Marketing preferences — your choice to receive newsletters or promotional emails.
Information we collect automatically
When you use our website, we and our service providers automatically collect:
- Device and usage data — your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits.
- Cookies and similar technologies — small data files that help the site function, remember your preferences, and measure how the site is used. You can usually control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
Information from third parties
We may receive information from our payment processor (for example, confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed), from analytics providers, and, where applicable, from schools or fundraising partners involved in a student rental program.

We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, process, and manage your rentals, accounts, and autopay charges;
- Communicate with you about your account, billing, returns, repairs, and customer service requests;
- Send you newsletters and promotional messages, if you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and Services;
- Detect and prevent fraud, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights and the rights of others; and
- Comply with our legal obligations.
- How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below:
- Service providers — companies that perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, email delivery, website hosting, and analytics. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
- Advertising and social media partners — we use advertising tools such as the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure our ads and reach people with relevant ads. Through these tools we may share limited information, including a hashed (irreversible) version of your email address or phone number, with providers such as Meta to help match your activity to your account. We do not share your payment card number with these partners. See “Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising” below.
- Schools and program partners — where you rent through a school or fundraising program, we may share limited information with that school or partner to administer the program.
- Legal and safety — when we believe disclosure is required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or is necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of Tunepike, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, sale, or transfer of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- Email Choices
If you receive promotional emails from us, you can opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any such email or by contacting us. Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you non-promotional messages about your account, rentals, and billing.
- Text Messaging (SMS) and Your Choices
Tunepike operates an optional “Discover Music” text message program. If you provide your mobile number and check the consent box at tunepikemusic.com/discover, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing text messages from Tunepike, including a weekly hand-picked album recommendation and, if you save albums on our site, a message listing your saved list. Message frequency is approximately one message per week. Message and data rates may apply.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing, renting, or receiving any Tunepike product or service. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, and you may reply HELP for assistance or contact us at hello@tunepikemusic.com or (908) 790-0400.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service or messaging delivery, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
- Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use our Services. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. We may also use analytics tools that collect usage information to help us improve the site. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, we currently treat the cookie settings in your browser as your preference.
We also use advertising technologies, including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, on our website and rental checkout to understand which ads lead to rentals and to show you relevant ads on Facebook and Instagram. These tools may collect device and usage data and, through a feature called “advanced matching,” a hashed (irreversible) version of contact information you enter — such as your email address or phone number — which is shared with Meta to help match your activity to your account. We do not share your payment card number with these tools. You can control or opt out through your Facebook and Instagram ad settings and through your browser or device settings.
- How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. Payment card data is handled by our payment processor under its own security standards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
- Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account or rental is active and as needed to provide the Services, then for a reasonable period afterward to comply with our legal, tax, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
- Children’s Privacy
Our Services are intended for adults. Although many rentals are for student musicians, the rental account and payment information is provided by a parent, guardian, or other adult. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
- Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, such as the right to request access to the information we hold about you, to request that we correct or delete it, and to opt out of marketing communications. We do not sell your personal information. To make a request, contact us using the information below; we may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond as required by applicable law.
- Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to other websites we do not operate. This Policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
- Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” above and post the updated Policy on our website. Your continued use of the Services after we post changes means you accept the updated Policy.
